Sizzix Animal Portraits Part 3 - Cat Oval Flip-its Hello Card

This is the third card which I made in this set... I used the Flip-its Scallop Oval Card die set, along with the cat, this time, from Sizzix's 'Animal Portraits' Thinlits die set. I used loads of foam pads for dimension, hand cut the bunting flags, and used Reverse Confetti's 'Hello' die.

The background papers were from a Stampin' up pad, and the stripey cat paper was from a My Favorite Things 6x6 pad.

And here's the full set!

Twist Panel Pop-Up 'A World of Thanks' Card

This card has such a fun mechanism, created by the Twist Panel Pop-up die set. Even my kids were impressed with how all of this emerges from a a folded card! It's also a lot simpler to make than it might look.

Loads of dies come in this set, including layers for decorating the pop-out parts, hearts, tags and bunting.

I used 12x12 papers from My Mind's Eye Jubilee Tangerine range, plus brads from the same range.
I used Tim Holtz 'Simple Sayings' stamps, and his Movers and Shakers Vintage Globe die, which I used with the Movers and Shapers Base Tray.

Here's the card partially closed, so you can see how the mechanism folds everything up when the card closes.

I decorated the top and bottom of the card with turquoise cardstock cut with a circle punch, to create scalloped edges.
For the main sentiment, I used a Concord and 9th 'Globe Greetings' stamp, and Karen Burniston's Word Set 1: Greetings die set.

Karen Burniston Cupcake Pop-up Birthday Card

I made this card for one of my best friends' daughter's sixth birthday this week, using Karen Burniston's Cupcake Pop-up Die set.

I used a Paper Smooches stamp, and Neat and Tangled's 'Journaling Alphas' dies for the name.
All the papers are from Basic Grey's 'Fresh Cut' 6x6 pad.

For the card front, I used the little cupcake dies from the same Cupcake Pop-up Die Set, and a label to write a message in, from the Katherine Label Pop-up Die Set.

I used Stampin' Up ribbon, ink and scalloped border punch.

Karen Burniston's Design Team Challenge - Halloween Accordion Card

It's Karen Burniston's Design Team Challenge day today, with the theme of 'G-G-G-GHOST!' - yep, Halloween cards! I don't make many Halloween cards, but I really enjoyed doing this one, using dies from Karen's super-cute Halloween Elements Die Set, with the Charm Accordion Die Set for the background card.

I used papers from Echo Park's 'The Apothecary Emporium' 6x6 pad, and on the first panel used the hedgehog from the Winter Animals die set. I drew a little pumpkin for the hedgehog to hold, and decorated the bottom of all the panels with fence die cuts from House & Fence Pop-Up set, and grass from the Nature Edges Die Set.
I used a raven from the Halloween Elements set to make the charm in the first charm frame, and the ghost is from the same set.

For the third and fourth panels I used more dies from the Halloween Elements set - they're the perfect size for the Charm Accordion floating panels!
I also used an old stamp for the sentiment, and drew another little pumpkin to hang as a charm.

For the die in the centre charm frame - bit hard to show - but I used a hand from the Halloween Elements die set.

For the card front, the hedgehog panel swivels round, and I just added a simple trim, with a stamped and hand-cut spider.
