Our next-door neighbour recently married my son and daughter's French teacher (they are just a bit weirded out by that!) I made this wedding card for them. I don't have any specific wedding stamps/materials, so I used a 'Best Wishes' stamp - in white Staz-On ink on acetate.
(Click on the picture to see in better detail.)
Dies used:
Sizzix Accordion Album
Frame & label, Bracket
Sizzlits Label & Flourish
Sizzlits Phrase, For you w/Swirls
Tattered Florals
On the Edge Pennants
Sizzlits Flowers, Branches and Leaf
Li'l Stampers Hearts
I used lots of old stash and stamps - can't remember where most is from. I hand cut the mini bunting and stamped butterflies, added script, stamp marks, music script and other stamps, and sprayed the corrugated card (some old packaging) with some watered down white acrylic paint in a spray bottle.
The large and medium flowers I made by hand, as follows:
Cut flowers from watercolour paper.
Cut flowers from watercolour paper.
Cut between the petals nearer to the centres, and sprayed with water to soften the paper.
I sprayed the flowers with a watered down ink and mica powder mixture (I put the water on first, so that the paper didn't absorb too much ink),
then shaped the flowers (with my seed dibber!)
The petal layers can then either be glued together, joined with a brad, or as I did here, pinned through.
(For the larger flowers, I also added extra layers from the Tattered Florals die.)
Yay for beautiful Accordion Album plus super cool flower tutorial! I will definitely be trying this. Your flowers are amazing!
