Karen Burniston Charm Accordion Get Well Soon Card

Here's a little Get Well Soon card I made, using just two of Karen Burniston's dies sets - the Charm Accordion, and Get Well Charms.
All the papers are from My Favorite Things 'Fun and Frolic' 6x6 pad.

I used a rectangular die from the Charm Accordion set to cut windows in each of the floating panels, then used gold twine to hang charms.
I added gold glitter washi tape and glued on sequins.

On the third panel I added acetate sheeting to the back of the window, and glued the 'get well soon' to the acetate, with a Fineline applicator.

Evergreen Pivot Panels & Twist Panel Pop-Up Christmas Tree Card

It's Karen Burniston's Design Team challenge day, with the theme of Christmas Tree!
My card uses a combination of the Twist Panel Pop-up and Evergreen Pivot Panels die sets, so that when the card opens a little Christmas tree scene twists open.

I used assorted old papers from my stash, and used the Crosshatch Oval and Square die sets for decorative layers on the front and inside of the card.

This video from Karen explains how the card is assembled using the Twist Panel Pop-up and Evergreen Pivot Panels die sets. I then just added some strips of ribbon, the Crosshatch Ovals and Karen's Merry Christmas die.

I love the action of this card and how everything unfolds in such grand style!

Frame Pull Pop-Up Carta Bella Flora No 2 Thank You Card

Hello! Well I've been a bit busy lately for various reasons - recovering from a hysterectomy, getting a Border Collie puppy, and having my missionary daughter come home after 18 months away, to mention a few!!
I do have a card for you today though, which uses Karen Burniston's Frame Pull Pop-up die set - a really versatile die set which creates a pop-up mechanism that you operate by pulling a little tab.
In this case, I put the pop-up part on the front of a normal opening card, so there was room for a while message inside.

This is what the card looks like when it's standing up normally, with the pop-up part closed.
The patterned papers and floral sticker I used are all from Carta Bella's Flora No 2 collection.
I used the little swirly decorative die, which comes from Karen's Charm Accordion set, for the corners.

When you lay the card flat and pull the tab, the top part of the pop-up mechanism opens up, revealing a smaller pop-up panel inside!

I decorated the inside of my pop-up section with a printed phrase from Cart Bella's Flora No 2 papers, and Karen's 'Thank You' die. I used an 's' from her 'Merry Christmas' die, to create 'Thanks' instead.

Karen Burniston Design Team Challenge - Halloween / Fall Upsy Daisy Card

Hi folks! My card today is a combination of a Halloween and Fall/Autumn card, which I made for Karen Burniston's October Design Team Challenge with the theme of 'Happy fall Y'all!'

I used the Upsy Daisy Pop-Up die set to create the three pop-up panels, and I used papers from Tim Holtz's 12x12 Memoranda pad, some plain grey and mustard cardstock and wood laminate.
In the foreground of the card, I used dies from the Autumn Elements and Halloween Elements die sets, and layered them on adhesive foam pads.

For the background of the card, I used dies from the Crosshatch Ovals, Halloween Charms and Halloween Elements die sets. I used a mini blending tool to add black distress ink to the edges of the die cuts.

I love how compactly everything folds down, when the card closes!

For the card front, I inked the edge of some more Tim Holtz Memoranda patterned paper, added some gauzy ribbon, twine, and a leaf from the Autumn Elements die set.

Christmas Trees Pop Stand Card

Karen Burniston has a great new release, and one of the die sets is her re-released Christmas Trees Pop Stand set, which I used for this card.

The papers are from an old K&Co pad, along with paper backed wood veneer.
The stars, trees and tree decorations all come in the Christmas Tree Pop Stand die set.

I used the Ovals - Crosshatch die set on the card front and inside.

To decorate the rest of the inside of the card, I used the Sizzix Originals Beautiful Flourish die, a couple of Tim Holtz's Mini Paper Snowflakes Thinlits dies, and some wooden snowflakes from Brutus Monroe.

My Minds Eye 'Well Hello' Sizzix Circle Flip-its Llama Card

I wanted a card to send to my daughter Lucy (she's currently away from home as a missionary for our church), and she loves llamas! I'd bought these absolutely perfect papers from My Mind Eye, and teamed them with the Sizzix Circle Flip-its 4 Card.

I fussy cut the llama and cactus from 12x12 papers, and used letters from the Sizzix Thinlits Paper Cuts Alphabet.

Aren't they just the cutest papers ever!!

Explosion Pop-Up Birthday Card - New Karen Burniston 2018 Release

Here's a card I made using Karen Burniston's brand new Explosion Pop-Up die set!
The set provides the die cuts with fold lines for the concertina sides, plus the pop-up platform in the centre. It also comes with some lovely balloon decorator dies, one of which I used on the card front.

Also on the card front, I used Karen's Happy Birthday die, and some Squares - Crosshatch dies.

On the pop-up platform I added the large cupcake from the Cupcake Pop-up die set, with a candle from the Cake Pop-up set.
The 'Celebrate' is another of Karen's new release dies. I love these large word dies by Karen.

Karen Burniston's Design Team 'House' Challenge: Pop-Up New Home Card

It's Karen Burniston's Design Team Challenge today, and the theme is 'House'!
Karen's house dies have always been among my favourite ever die sets, and I used two of them for this card - the House & Fence Pop-up, and the new House Pivot Panels die set.

I used the floating floor and large house from the House & Fence Pop-up set, then added some hand cut hills to the back of the card, and some smaller houses from the House Pivot Panels set.
All of the papers are from Carta Bella's Flora 2 12x12 and 6x6 pads.

I added some shrubbery to one pop-up piece in the floating floor, cut from the cloud/tree die that comes in the House Pivot Panels set. On the right hand pop-up piece, I added a tree from the Tree Pop-up die set. I cut down the tree trunk and branches to create a smaller tree, and used the cloud/tree die again for the foliage.

The card front features the house from the House & Fence Pop-up die set again, with 'happy' from the Word Set 7 - Autumn die set.
The stamp is from Reverse Confetti's 'Whole Lotta Happy' set.

Finally, I added some Ovals - Crosshatch, for a space to write a message.

Autumn Adirondack Chair Pop-Up Card - New Karen Burniston 2018 Release

Hurray! New Karen Burniston dies are available for pre-order, one of which is the Adirondack Chair Pop-Up!!
I used it for this Autumn card, which also uses Karen's new Autumn Elements die set, and Word Set 7 - Autumn die set. I went for slightly non-traditional Autumn colours!

For the card front, I layered up paper from My Mind's Eye 'Find Your Wings And Fly' collection, cut with dies from Karen's Squares and Circles - Crosshatch die sets. The pumpkin is from the Autumn Elements set. I cut it from cream textured card and coloured it with Tim Holtz Oxide Inks and a blending tool.

The Autumn Element die cuts inside the card were also cut from cream cardstock and coloured with Oxide Inks. I loved doing this - the inks blend so gorgeously, and the die cuts are so pretty!

To make the chair, I cut an extra chair piece out from pink card, stamped it with a Stampin' Up woodgrain stamp, and blended the edges with Oxide Ink.
I cut out a pillow by hand, and for the sentiment used the Word Set 7 - Autumn. I cut the words from cream cardstock, and again, blended them with Oxide Ink.

Karen Burniston Design Team August Challenge - Circle Charm Pop Up Card

Hello! It's Karen Burniston's Design Tam Challenge today, with the theme of 'Charmed'!
We're having the most wonderful weather this summer in England, and it's made me feel like using some of Karen's lovely Beach and Sweet Treats Charms dies in a summery Circle Charm Pop Up card.

In the first floating panel I created some sand with a stitched edge die from the Nature Edges die set, layered up some flip flips from the Beach Charms set, and added some clear Nuvo Crystal Drops to make waves and to the flip-flop straps.
In the second panel I used the watermelon dies from the Sweet Treats Charms set, and coloured them with Copic markers, using clear Nuvo Crystal Drops on the rind and black Enamel Accents for the seeds.
The last panel has the palm tree from Beach Charms set, which I again coloured with Copics and covered with clear Nuvo Crystal Drops.
The papers and extra tickets I cut out, are from Maggie Holmes' 12x12 'Flourish' pad.
The sentiment is from the Word Set 6 - Summer die set, and I coated the words with clear Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I also added a bit of Stampin' Up ribbon, glitter dot stickers and the sun from the Tropical Scene die set, as additional details on the card.
