Tanya Whelan Layered Cake card

One of my New Year Resolutions was not to spend any money on myself till my birthday on 2nd May...  I picked out a few things I'd like yesterday (just in case the post was slow, and didn't come in time for my birthday!) but they arrived today, and so I've broken my resolution a little early!
I got some lovely Tanya Whelan papers... I love her fabrics (I made the bunting below, a while ago with them), and I also got a couple of Sizzix dies: Brenda Walton's new 'Layered Cake', and Karen Burniston's 'Fancy Frame'.
Anyway, I cracked them open straight away, and made this card.
I also used Eileen Hull's 'Borders and Hydrangeas' die, the Pop 'n Cuts base die, and stamp from Stampin' Up's 'Party This Way' set.
I actually managed to do a card front too!
I'm putting it in Simon Says Stamp 'Anything Goes' Challenge, and The Ribbon Reel Challenge, to use Blue with a hint of green, and ribbon and flowers.

  1. Happy Early Birthday! How kind of the mail to come early and surprise you. It really isn't YOU breaking a resolution so much as the POST OFFICE, so what can you do? Why, make yourself a fabulous birthday card, of course!

  2. Can you tell us where you bought Tanya Whelan papers? Can we purchase them in the USA?

    1. The paper was from Cutting Edge Crafts, British online shop, but the paper is called 'First Edition Premium Paper Pad - Floral Pavillion', so I would just Google that, to find it in America.

    2. Thank you!. So far, only one vendor has ordered it and waiting for arrival-- not pictures. Oh well. Patience.\
