Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge Pivot Butterfly Card

Many people who are fans of Karen Burniston will know that she previously did a monthly 'Designer Challenge' spot on the Sizzix Blog... now that she has moved to Elizabeth Craft Designs, I'm excited that Karen will still be creating a monthly Designer Challenge - this time on the BRAND NEW Elizabeth Craft Designs blog!!
I'm fortunate to be one of the designers included in the Designer Challenge, and this month we have the theme of 'Pivot Cards'.
I decided to use Karen's new 'Butterfly Pivot' die set, and also teamed it with dies from the 'Butterfly Accessory' set.

I used papers and stickers from My Mind's Eye 'Up and Away' collection, and on the first inner page I used a vellum butterfly layer too.

On the second page, I cut down one of the 'Agatha Edges' dies to make the scrolly bits, and added some leaves also from Elizabeth Craft Designs, plus various embellishments including a mirror butterfly.

For the card front and back, I added two strips of plain pale pink card, which I stamped with a variety of stamps inked with Versamark, which acts like a watermark. I also used another couple of stickers, and a mirrored butterfly.

Can't resist showing the card back too... even they turn out pretty with the Pivot Card dies!

  1. Lovely card Helen. I like how you've cropped the Agatha Edge die into a little swirl for those pretty flowers.

  5. Created as only Helen Cryer could ... I would never in a million years, know how to combine those papers to come out with anything worth looking at. Your card is fabulous!
    Cheers
