Frame Pull Pop-Up Carta Bella Flora No 2 Thank You Card

Hello! Well I've been a bit busy lately for various reasons - recovering from a hysterectomy, getting a Border Collie puppy, and having my missionary daughter come home after 18 months away, to mention a few!!
I do have a card for you today though, which uses Karen Burniston's Frame Pull Pop-up die set - a really versatile die set which creates a pop-up mechanism that you operate by pulling a little tab.
In this case, I put the pop-up part on the front of a normal opening card, so there was room for a while message inside.

This is what the card looks like when it's standing up normally, with the pop-up part closed.
The patterned papers and floral sticker I used are all from Carta Bella's Flora No 2 collection.
I used the little swirly decorative die, which comes from Karen's Charm Accordion set, for the corners.

When you lay the card flat and pull the tab, the top part of the pop-up mechanism opens up, revealing a smaller pop-up panel inside!

I decorated the inside of my pop-up section with a printed phrase from Cart Bella's Flora No 2 papers, and Karen's 'Thank You' die. I used an 's' from her 'Merry Christmas' die, to create 'Thanks' instead.

Karen Burniston Design Team Challenge - Halloween / Fall Upsy Daisy Card

Hi folks! My card today is a combination of a Halloween and Fall/Autumn card, which I made for Karen Burniston's October Design Team Challenge with the theme of 'Happy fall Y'all!'

I used the Upsy Daisy Pop-Up die set to create the three pop-up panels, and I used papers from Tim Holtz's 12x12 Memoranda pad, some plain grey and mustard cardstock and wood laminate.
In the foreground of the card, I used dies from the Autumn Elements and Halloween Elements die sets, and layered them on adhesive foam pads.

For the background of the card, I used dies from the Crosshatch Ovals, Halloween Charms and Halloween Elements die sets. I used a mini blending tool to add black distress ink to the edges of the die cuts.

I love how compactly everything folds down, when the card closes!

For the card front, I inked the edge of some more Tim Holtz Memoranda patterned paper, added some gauzy ribbon, twine, and a leaf from the Autumn Elements die set.
